Job Description:
The Procurement Leader – NPD/MCP shall be responsible for multiple NPD/MCP Supply Chain projects, working with Platform NPD (New Product Development) and cross-functional teams to build and execute project implementation plans for NPD, ETO, MCP (cost savings), and continuous improvement projects.Responsibilities:The Procurement Leader – NPD/MCP is responsible for multiple supply chain projects, working with cross-functional teams and standard work to build and execute project implementation plans for NPD, cost savings, and continuous improvement projects.- Responsible for coordinating with suppliers, commodity teams, purchasing, materials, operations, engineering, finance, quality, and field operations to complete projects and achieve expected benefits within project timeline.
- Partner with Platform teams to assist with projects charter, benefits, and resource requirements. Active participant in sector/plant NPD/ETO/MCP gate reviews ensuring that required cross-functional resources are allocated to execute projects as outlined.
- Responsible for monitoring active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues as appropriate.
- Investigate, coordinate and communicate project changes. Create and make revisions to project schedules, business cases, risk assessments and other project management tools. Create and conduct presentations for project approvals and monthly status.
- Identify gaps to goals and collaboratively develop and support countermeasures and activities to close the gap and exceed targets.
- Support the development of the Annual Operating Plan for Projects, productivity projects, targets and initiatives in support of NPD/ETO/MCP Projects and Platforms. Support standard setting process for responsible plants within the NPD/ETO/MCP Process.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong understanding of the procurement process at an operational and leadership level.
- Experience in Supplier Negotiations & Sourcing Strategies
- Knowledge of Should Cost Modeling highly preferred
- Project Management experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability for independent thinking and multi-tasking.
