In this role, you are the single point of contact for local leaders in a specific geographic or plant location. You manage the interactions between business stakeholders and sourcing teams and collaborate across the manufacturing, supply chain and the commercial business. You also manage the local implementation of regional and/or global projects.
How you will contribute
You will execute the daily procurement agenda by acting as the single point of contact for the procurement function at a site, in a country or country cluster, and will oversee the daily interaction with plants, supply chain, commercial teams, quality assurance, sourcing teams and suppliers. You will also deliver service-level targets by ensuring material availability, escalating when needed, and support business continuity planning implementation, activating when needed, support the execution of sourcing projects and execute sourcing/spot-buying or contracting activities as agreed with the accountable spend areas, and own the source-to-pay process compliance key indicators and take corrective action when necessary.

Reports to: Procurement Lead
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of all Indirect spend categories for Mondelez Vietnam, ensuring cost optimization, service excellence, and full compliance with corporate procurement policies. The position plays a strategic role in shaping the Indirect spend portfolio, developing robust supply sources, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with internal business functions to understand requirements, influence specifications, and ensure procurement solutions align with business needs.
- Advise and support business users in defining requirements and planning procurement activities
- Provide regular reporting on procurement performance, project pipeline, and savings delivery
Strategic Sourcing & Cost Management
- Monitor local market trends, economic conditions, and supplier landscapes to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
- Drive sourcing events and lead commercial negotiations for locally managed spend categories, selecting best-value suppliers aligned with the Mondelez Global Buying Policy
- Coordinate with Spend Area teams to identify savings opportunities and efficiency improvements
- Support Spend Area leads with spend analysis by providing local market intelligence, competitive dynamics, and sourcing event execution across all Indirect categories
- Identify and deliver year-over-year cost savings and value improvement initiatives across all indirect categories aligning with agreed KPIs
Supplier Relationship & Risk Management
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, drive performance reviews, and develop local supplier capabilities.
- Proactively manage supply chain risk by developing contingency and dual-source strategies
- Ensure all suppliers adhere to Mondelez standards on ethics, safety, and sustainability
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and ethical standards.
- Oversee the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process and drive Purchase Order compliance across the organization
- Collaborate with Legal and Finance on contractual, regulatory, and commercial matters
- Drive procurement process efficiencies and support the adoption of digital procurement tools and systems.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Indirect Procurement team to deliver high performance
- Coach internal stakeholders to build procurement awareness and capability across the organization
- Championing a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the procurement function
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in indirect procurement, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or multinational environments.
- Strong knowledge of the Vietnam supplier market and local business practices.
- Demonstrated track record of delivering significant cost savings and value creation.
- Experience managing multiple indirect categories simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar).
- Fluency in Vietnamese (required) and English (professional working proficiency).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is advantageous.
- Experience working in a regional or global procurement structure.
- Familiarity with sustainability and responsible sourcing practices
- Prior experience managing Indirect Spending categories
