As Procurement Manager Commercial & DAC, you will play a key role in bringing new products to market, ensuring they are launched on time, at the right cost, and with the quality our customers expect.

At BDR Thermea Group, we're helping accelerate the energy transition through innovative heating and cooling solutions. In this role, you'll connect procurement, product development, engineering, quality, and suppliers to turn ideas into successful products. To enable close collaboration with stakeholders across the business, you will work 2 to 3 days per week from our headquarters in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, with flexibility for the remainder of your working week.

The role

You will lead procurement activities within the Business Unit and take ownership of all procurement-related aspects of New Product Development (NPD).

Your focus is clear: deliver successful product launches while building a resilient, sustainable, and competitive supply base.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with Group Procurement and Commodity strategies

  • Leading supplier selection and engagement for new product introductions

  • Partnering with R&D, Product Management, Quality, and Procurement teams across the business

  • Driving performance against key objectives, including time-to-market, cost targets, sustainability, and risk reduction

  • Working closely with Commodity Management and country procurement teams to ensure alignment and maximise synergies

  • Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and ways of working across the Group

  • Leading and developing the Business Unit procurement team

Working together

This is a highly collaborative role with extensive exposure across the organisation. You'll work closely with Business Unit leadership, Product Management, R&D teams, procurement colleagues in multiple countries, and key suppliers.

Success comes from building strong relationships, aligning stakeholders, and balancing strategic thinking with practical execution.

You bring:

  • Strong procurement and supplier management experience in an international environment

  • Experience working with product development, engineering, or technical teams

  • The ability to influence stakeholders and drive results across functions

  • Excellent communication and project management skills

  • A proactive, organised, and hands-on mindset

  • A global perspective and the ability to build relationships across cultures

  • Fluency in English

Additional European language skills and experience in a technical or manufacturing environment are an advantage.
