Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Procurement Manager 2. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) Ground Base Strategic Deterrent program.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

  • Direct Supervision of staff, assigning work priorities and daily assignments necessary to support the sector objectives

  • Provide direction to the team to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures

  • Manage purchasing team responsible for purchasing activities including preparing Request for Quotes (RFQs), conducting bid analysis, negotiating purchase orders, documenting purchase order requirements while meeting compliance requirements and managing supplier performance and relationships

  • Terms and Conditions negotiations

  • Metrics reporting and data analytics

  • Engage in supplier sourcing strategy development

  • Manage supply chain risks and opportunities

  • Cross-functional coordination in and out of the organization

  • Engage suppliers that possess products that support multiple programs and/or significant quantity to achieve mutual desired outcomes and formalizes the relationship in the form of a long-term agreement

  • Support Procurement teams in areas of policies and procedures, sourcing, training, and development

  • Plan, organize, and assign procurement resources, ensuring they are well matched (knowledge/skills/experience) to their assigned duties

  • Provide an independent review of procurement products and procurement compliance packages prior to delivery or review and presentation to Audit, program, and GSC Leadership

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years or Master’s and 6+ years of relevant experience in Global Supply Chain, U.S. Government contract, or Procurement/Subcontracts

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading processes, and/or projects

  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry and working knowledge of FAR/DFARs

  • 5 years of experience with the procurement of goods to include the Request for Quotes (RFQs), conducting bid analysis, negotiating purchase orders, documenting purchase order requirements and or similar activities

  • Experience managing supplier performance and relationships

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience leading a team,

  • Knowledge and experience with services governed by statement of work (SOW) and supporting authors through the SOW creation process.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and extremely organized

  • Ability to deal effectively with change and challenges and helps others to do the same.

  • Ability to deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment while demonstrating a professional attitude.

  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARs (FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15)

  • Working Knowledge of SAP

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
