Job DescriptionWe are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Executive to join our team in Shah Alam. In this role, you will be responsible for managing sourcing activities, supplier negotiations, procurement administration, and purchase order processing to support business operations efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement cycle, including sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, and purchase order issuance.
- Source and procure materials and services including chemicals, consumables, operational tools, mechanical items, and subcontractor/casual worker services.
- Evaluate suppliers through pricing, quality, service, and delivery performance comparisons.
- Conduct supplier benchmarking, comparison, and periodic performance reviews.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and value for the business.
- Manage a high volume of purchase orders and ensure accurate procurement documentation.
- Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing requirements and timelines.
- Monitor order progress and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Resolve supply-related issues, including delays, quality concerns, and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and other ad hoc reporting as required.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
- 1-3 years of procurement experience
- Experience in sourcing, supplier management, and negotiation.
- Able to handle high-volume purchase order processing.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage
