The position is responsible for leading and executing the overall procurement operations and sourcing requirements for Excellerate Engineer to Order (ETO) Business. Leads collaboration between cross functional teams across all business units that include procurement and supply chain, engineering, project management, operations, materials, finance, and leadership to develop standard processes and systems that support the organizational needs, reduces and minimizes the total cost, eliminates waste, drives productivity, and minimizes risk within the Excellerate production sites and as applicable across the company.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 8-12 years of experience in sourcing & purchasing in the manufacturing and construction industry.
Travel: 35-50%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Defines and communicates a comprehensive vision for Excellerate ETO Procurement and Sourcing as it relates to organizational structures, processes, and procurement technology systems.
- Acts as coach and developer of managerial talent; as well as skillfully selects and trains those individuals. Evaluates candidates' and managers' willingness to lead, communication and planning competencies, and ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Assigns team and project-leadership assignments to assess skill/ability.
- Spends ample time evaluating people in 'test' managerial roles. Holds managers who report to him/her accountable for managerial work.
- Develops and implements the specific initiatives which will move the organization along the road map with particular emphasis on the direct spend categories that support project and manufacturing requirements.
- Establishes key metrics for the organization’s effectiveness.
- Aligns sourcing processes to category strategies and develops disciplines and management systems necessary to achieve objectives to meet design requirements, costs, and delivery.
- Leads strategic sourcing initiatives to meet Excellerate ETO project requirements that maximizes supply chain to deliver maximum value within region and site.
- Develops innovative approaches to procurement activities that are closely linked to driving productivity and optimized material flow to the point of use/installation.
- Develops strategic partnerships with suppliers to ensure value services, on time delivery, improved costs, quality, and compliance.
- Leverage indirect, MRO and capex category teams and strategies to ensure Excellerate ETO sites have what is needed to support facility and production requirements to ensure operational efficiencies.
- Collaborates closely with Preconstruction and Project Management leaders to understand material requirements and assist with the development of project procurement strategies and resources. Heavy focus on teams role within the Excellerate ETO supply chain to assure material delivery from suppliers to drive overall productivity & effectiveness.
- Collaborates closely with Excellerate ETO Leadership and Finance to establish and execute continuous improvement strategies related to safety, quality, delivery & cost.
- Collaborates across Procurement’s leadership to achieve business process, value delivery, system optimization, and organizational goals & metrics in various projects that include but not limited to: Supplier Relationship Management, Supplier Code of Conduct, Strategic Supplier Negotiation & comprehensive contract implementation, Supplier Quality Management & overall business continuity.
- Continues development of Procurement’s role in end-to-end (E2E) strategy inclusive of Procure to Pay (P2P) in concert with other departments & stakeholders.
- Creates an atmosphere where Excellerate ETO Procurement teams are empowered to act as the sole source and responsible party for all material, equipment, assembly, and tool requirements of a job site.
- Develops operational metrics to effectively track business efficiencies.
- Applies 80/20 principles to business unit operations.
- Effectively delegates tasks to appropriate parties; clearly communicates needs and expectations. Measures and monitors the work of individual direct reports and/or collective team/taskforce team(s).
- Provides frequent and clear feedback to direct reports, offers clear direction, and ensures direct reports are sure about their goals.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
