Vanderlande is seeking a talented, business-minded college student to join our Global Procurement organization, supporting Category Management in North America. As an Intern you will be engaged with developing a data & analytics solution for the Procurement organization.
As an Intern you will be exposed to Supply Chain and Procurement processes and data analytics application development. You will be given specific task(s) / project(s) to elevate your knowledge of Procurement and Supply Chain, the ways of Vanderlande, and to help identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications
- Currently at least a Sophomore or Junior in an undergraduate bachelor’s degree program
- Available to work 40 hours per week and complete entire assignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Majoring in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Analytics
Requirements:
1. Proficient in Python; familiar with SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
2. Solid grasp of statistical analysis and probability.
3. Experience in data preprocessing and cleaning.
4. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with Procurement and data professionals to develop data-driven solutions utilizing departmental standards.
2. Ensure solutions meet customer requirements by partnering with appropriate Supply Chain and business stakeholders.
3. Collect and clean data, correcting errors or inconsistencies.
4. Develop digital products according to department data management and visualization standards.
5. Present solutions to Procurement, the digital team and business units, and train end users.
