Procurement Cost Programme Manager

What you will be doing
We are looking for a Procurement Product Cost Manager to work closely with the Aerospace Procurement Category teams, lead the management of the Category Cost forecast and collaborate with the Category team to identify and deliver cost reduction and cost mitigation projects.
The role is cross functional at its heart and will give you the opportunity to work with wide range of internal stakeholders, gain exposure to an extensive range of business processes and develop highly transferrable skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the cost forecast of an extensive portfolio of cost reduction and cost mitigation projects and ensure accuracy and credibility of the in-year and long-term product cost forecast. This will support business financial forecasting and portfolio decisions. You will be using our executive product cost management tools and processes and will play a critical role in the delivery of our yearly long term product cost forecasting process.
- Lead and support the regular product cost governance with internal stakeholders and provide a clear communication of status including arising opportunities and risks to allow their proactive management to deliver the best outcome for the business.
- Work with the Category to generate, develop and execute cost reduction projects and cost mitigation projects. You will be required to work creatively and proactively champion a wide range of cost opportunities using market intelligence, data analytics and digital tools. You will also be expected to build an understanding of the Category critical cost drivers (including contractual escalation, contract renewal, directed buy, …) and the Category strategy. You will be working in diverse teams will need to influence stakeholder and seek their support.

- A degree (BA level) and/or CIPS qualifications.
- Experience of data analysis, willingness to provide hypothesis and identify and articulate financial opportunities.
- Good business acumen and desire to develop deep understanding of commercial and financial principles.
- Good interpersonal, and people management skills and ability and desire to engage with a wide range of stakeholders at various levels, functions, and areas of the business. Ability to influence and challenge in a positive manner.
- Can work at pace with a level of pragmatism and tenacity.
- Transformational mindset, willing to look at alternative approaches and different ways of working, which may challenge the norms and context of today
- A passion for driving change and making a measurable difference.
