This position is responsible for providing administrative procurement support to Sourcing and Vendor Management. Responsible for assisting in communicating with business stakeholders and vendors, preparing and placing purchase orders, creating vendor profiles, assisting in the resolution of invoice issues, and generating reports, as requested.
A Day in the Life:
- Assists Procurement staff in preparing, placing, and releasing purchase orders, processing goods receipts in accordance with financial processes, resolving supply and invoice issues, and on-boarding contractors and consultants.
- Creates purchase orders in SAP from funding requisitions generated in supporting systems.
- Works closely with business stakeholders and enterprise support personnel to coordinate order information. Can be asked to assist in the resolution of blocked/parked invoices.
- Assists in the maintenance of the vendor master function in SAP for Sourcing and Accounts Payable vendors.
- Answer, troubleshoot, research, and escalates incidents and service requests in accordance with departmental service level agreements and individual performance targets for systems managed by the department.
- Responds to internally and externally submitted requests for additional information, status updates or problem resolution.
- Completes tasks associated with the on-boarding of contractors and consultants.
- Prepare reports, assist in research of issues and conduct basic analysis of data.
- Other projects/duties as assigned or needed.
Nice to Have:
- SAP experience with defining system requirements, analysis, testing, and design for the application and new application components.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- 3+ years of related experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
- Ability to work independently or on a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, ServiceNow, Workday).
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to advise and assist others; possesses a strong customer-centric mindset.
- Strong organizational skills and attentive to detail.
Role Designation:
Hybrid Remote
Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely. Onsite is full-time onsite.
Compensation and Benefits:
$20.58 - $25.73 - $30.88 Hourly
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
