We're looking for an Authentication Guarantee Team Lead to support daily eBay operations and inspire team excellence. You'll embody collector obsession by ensuring every item is handled with care, get it right every time, and bring out the best in everyone through coaching and feedback. This role requires someone who leads with integrity and kindness, and isn't afraid to put the skunk on the table when challenges arise.
You'll report to the Supervisor, eBay and work from our Santa Ana, CA office. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 12am.
Support and oversee daily eBay AG operations, ensuring we work backwards from collector needs and maintain the highest standards—because getting it right is non-negotiable
Monitor team performance and report on metrics (exceptions tracking, inbound/outbound mail, accuracy), providing accurate data for informed decisions
Seek feedback early and often—listen to team members, resolve conflicts with empathy, escalate when necessary, and always assume positive intent
Set clear team goals with supervisors and eBay leadership, starting with why to ensure everyone understands the goal and problem we're solving
Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments, reinforcing our culture of excellence
Discover training needs and provide coaching that fosters continuous learning and helps team members pursue long-term careers
Put the skunk on the table—share challenges transparently and early to address issues before they escalate
Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure seamless operations aligned with our collector-first mission
Facilitate huddles, manage inventory/cycle counts, and reassign duties as needed
Lead by example and champion all company policies, including safety, attendance, and security
Experience: 4-6 years in collectibles grading/authentication, fragile item mail processing or shipping, art/antiques handling, or similar role, plus 2 years supervising staff including hiring, scheduling, performance reviews, and personnel recommendations OR completion of internal training program

High school diploma or equivalent education background preferred, or equivalent work experience
Physical Demands:
Bending and Twisting: Bending neck/waist, twisting neck/waist, and squatting.
Computer Use: Typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer potentially for long periods of time.
Hand Use: Regular hand use for various tasks.
Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions.
Receiving and Inspecting Submissions: Ability to receive, and in some departments inspect, submissions. Ability to use a sharp blade and retrieve submissions from packaging.
Sitting or Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Hourly Range: The hourly range for this position is $25.75-$30.29. Entry level operations positions generally start at an hourly rate of $16.80. Actual compensation in this range will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set.
