Job Overview

The Processing Specialist covers the day-to-day maintenance and recurring tasks of the processing function.  The role will be focused on a specific processor to ensure processes are running correctly and alerting the proper teams when there are issues or interruptions. Please note this position is hybrid in our Chicago office with a minimum of 2-3 days a week. 

 What you’ll bring to the table: (Responsibilities) 

  • •    Review detailed credit card processing information on a large-scale utilizing Excel.
    •    Ensure processing ids are onboarded successfully with the card network within days of location onboarding.
    •    Conduct research when customer issues arise 
    •    Monitor automated processes and reports to ensure they are accurate 
    •    Complete processor change requests.
    •    Pursue best practices for management of card processing including compliance.
    •    Conduct Quarterly Audits 
    Do you have the right mix of ingredients: (Requirements)  
  • 1-3 years of experience in related field 
  • Banking or credit card processing industry background is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with American Express is strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills 
  •  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, and Outlook), Salesforce Lightening
  •  Ability to navigate databases and use Excel as an analytical tool (Vlook ups, etc,)
  • Detail oriented and highly organized, flexible, self-motivated, and willing to learn and accept challenges.
  • Thrive in fast paced and constantly changing work environment.
  •  Exhibit an established track record of delivering results on time.
  • Responsive to the needs of the department and can tackle various responsibilities.
  • High regard for industry compliance and maintaining and safeguarding confidential information.
