The Space Division Engineering team is growing the Governance function of the group, looking to identify a process-driven individual to lead the infrastructure creation, BMDL revision coordination, updated checklist implementation, and training associated with all the process changes necessary to achieve CMMI level three process control at the division. The team is a tight-knit group of collaboration-oriented professionals that welcome others looking to work on multi-faceted, complex problems as a team.

Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for a Process Transformation Manager to join our team in East Aurora NY.  This position could also work at our Niagara Falls, NY or Gilbert AZ locations. As a Process Transformation Manager, you will:

  • Create and deploy an organization change management strategy across engineering and other impacted functions that drives the behavioral changes required for effective deployment of our Digital Engineering strategies.

  • Process Development, Change Management, Maintenance, Training, and Continuous Improvement across the division

  • Improve Engineering efficiency required to deliver technical definitions through the application of modern technologies and improved processes impacting all engineering functions.

  • Manage the team expenses to meet budget commitments for the department(s) and collection of Digital Engineering programs/projects.

  • Manage overall team performance and individual employee satisfaction through the Engineering Transformation team, HR business partners and SDG ELT (Engineering Leadership Team).

  • Identify and resolve resource and process gaps with SDG ELT and Transformation Office teams to align with business objectives and improve overall program and product life cycle performance.

  • Prepare and brief executive leadership teams (External Customers, Divisions) on the proposed and delivered value of the engineering transformation strategic initiatives.

  • Represent SDG ELT interests from a business and an engineering standpoint across all Aerospace and Defense related business entities sharing lessons learned and enabling enterprise process improvements through Digital Engineering.

To be considered for the Process Transformation Manager role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • A minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience

  • Proven track record of leading change and driving improvement in business/operations performance.

  • Demonstrated business acumen, with the ability to engage the right organizational resources to quickly and effectively resolve customer problems.

  • Strong leader of people and team builder, as well as an excellent communicator at all levels both internally and externally.

  • Relevant industry experience is highly desirable.  The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate an appropriate balance of strong process leadership and relationship building with customers (both internally and externally).

  • Proven capabilities in managing and working collaboratively with a varied stakeholder base

  • Experience in budgeting and cost control management. Strong analytical abilities and ability to prioritize, coordinate and manage complex operational issues and processes.

  • Demonstrated experience in enacting lean manufacturing strategies and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to influence all functions within the Business Unit that impact operations.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $125,000.00–$160,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
