For our EHHS team location Dordrecht, we are looking for a

Process Safety Engineer

Each site is responsible to identify, understand, and control the hazards inherent to its processes. This is done to prevent serious process-related incidents which might affect plant personnel, off-site communities, the environment, or result in significant property loss or loss of business. It involves the application of systems and controls to chemical and manufacturing processes and is a part of everyone’s job.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Participate in or lead risk studies and conduct consequence analyses, and review engineering designs for compliance with company and industry safety standards.
  • Undertake surveys to identify and evaluate occupational health, safety and environmental conditions
  • Conduct various process safety studies/activities, such as: PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, LOPA, SIMOPs, incident investigations, compliance reviews, or insurance surveys.
  • Provide advice and consultation to department staff to assist them in maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with environmental/safety regulations, standards and practices.
  • Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace.
  • Liaise with sites in US and China/Japan for exchange of knowledge and experience and auditing.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge in Asset Integrity and Process Safety’ Management Systems, relevant codes, standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Technical Safety fundamentals, hazard identification and risk assessment tools and its application.
  • Knowledge in risk management and Process Safety incident investigation methodology and tools
  • Ability to report in Dutch

€56,400.00 - €88,125.00
