As a Process Reliability Engineer, you’ll lead the improvement agenda across our Processing Unit, using data-driven insights to elevate safety, efficiency, quality, reliability, and sustainability. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and Environment teams to implement our site masterplan—aligned with Unilever’s strategic goals in Delivery, Productivity, Cost, Safety, and Quality. You’ll also work closely with R&D and external suppliers to bring cutting-edge technologies to life, ensuring our Dove soap processing remains best-in-class.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize Production: Define and maintain process parameters to maximize equipment efficiency and product quality.
- Standardize Operations: Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions for production operators.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Analyze process failures, raw material losses, and quality issues, then lead initiatives to eliminate them.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Safety teams to prioritize improvements and implement solutions.
- Innovate with Technology: Propose and trial new equipment, automation tools, and production technologies.
- Lead Projects: Champion improvement initiatives using continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
- Ensure Safety & Compliance: Participate in HACCP programs and develop risk-reduction strategies to uphold consumer safety.
- Empower Teams: Train and support production operators, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- Enhance Reporting: Build and maintain systems for tracking production performance and process health.
- Champion Standards: Lead deployment of the Run to Standard Program and support CI pillar development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree within a STEM discipline.
- 3+ years of Engineering in the CPG or FMCG industry.
- Project Management, maintenance, or continuous improvement experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; along with the ability to negotiate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post graduate engineering degree
- 5+ years of CPG/FMCG industry experience
- Certification in a lean manufacturing discipline.
Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
