What you will do:
The Process Optimization Engineer will play a pivotal role in modernizing and optimizing our core insurance processes, driving operational excellence and efficiency across the organization. In this role, you’ll lead efforts to analyze, design, and transform how the business operates, from Underwriting to Claims Management (improving our operations end-to-end). Your expertise will directly support the company’s strategic goals by improving efficiency, reducing risks, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Your day-to-day:
- Analyze and improve existing processes: Conduct in-depth assessments of current workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, leading initiatives to enhance overall performance.
- Design new processes: Develop innovative workflows that align with company goals and regulatory requirements, focusing on creating more efficient and effective approaches to underwriting, policy issuance, and claims management.
- Risk assessment and mitigation: Assess potential risks within operational processes, such as bottlenecks or errors, and implement strategies to minimize these risks and ensure smooth operations.
- Establish Quality control: Create and maintain quality control standards, ensuring consistent and high-quality outputs across all insurance processes, from policy documentation to claims handling.
- Ensure Compliance and documentation: Document processes thoroughly, ensuring full compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Lead training and knowledge sharing: Educate colleagues on new processes, tools, and techniques, leading workshops and sharing best practices to ensure alignment across teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field, with additional qualifications such as a Master’s degree in the field of Quality, Management, among others.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying and addressing complex issues within processes.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and present process changes clearly.
- Adaptability to navigate fast-changing insurance processes and stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
- Possession of certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Six Sigma, and CPP or others that demonstrate your expertise in Process Improvement, Quality assurance, and Change Management, using Data-driven methods and tools to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency, will be highly appreciated.
- Experience in process mining and respective tools (such as Celonis or MS Power Automate)
