The Role
Analyze and improve business processes by identifying gaps, designing and implementing enhancements, documenting workflows, training staff, tracking performance with data analytics, and coordinating with stakeholders to align processes with strategic goals.
Summary Generated by Built In

The Process & Technology Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in the company by working across departments — including executive leadership, planning, and operations — to identify inefficiencies, design solutions, and deliver working tools that streamline business processes. This role combines traditional process improvement with hands-on AI-assisted technology implementation, meaning the person in this seat will not only analyze and document processes but will actively build and deploy solutions using AI development tools and collaborate with internal developers on production systems.

This is a high-autonomy, high-variety role. Projects range from enterprise data analysis to building web-based business applications to supporting executive-level strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, learns fast, and is energized — not overwhelmed — by working across multiple unrelated projects simultaneously.

Process Improvement & Operations

· Analyze current business processes across departments and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation

· Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels — from VPs to backend developers to executive leadership — to define requirements, scope solutions, and iterate on deliverables

·Develop and maintain process documentation including operational guides, specifications, and standard operating procedures

· Monitor project progress across multiple concurrent workstreams and provide regular updates to stakeholders

    AI-Assisted Solution Development

- Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, AI coding assistants) to prototype, build, and iterate on functional web-based business applications

- Translate loosely defined business problems into structured specs and working deliverables — not just reports, but deployed tools

- Collaborate with internal developers to hand off prototypes for production deployment, managing the transition from proof-of-concept to scalable system

- Evaluate and recommend AI-driven approaches to recurring operational challenges

    Data & Enterprise Systems

- Work with enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, POS) to extract, reconcile, and analyze business data across divisions

- Build data models and reporting tools that support planning, merchandising, labor management, and other business functions

-Ensure data integrity and traceability across systems and tools

    Executive & Strategic Support

- Support executive leadership on strategic initiatives, often with minimal initial definition — scoping the problem, identifying data sources, and delivering results independently

- Act as a bridge between business needs and technical execution, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives

- Manage sensitive cross-divisional data with discretion and accuracy

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in operations, process improvement, business analysis, or technology implementation
  • Demonstrated comfort using AI tools as productivity multipliers (e.g., AI assistants, AI-assisted coding, prompt-based workflows)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with structured data (Excel, CSV, SQL concepts, or statistical tools such as R or Python)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — this role produces specs, ops guides, and stakeholder communications regularly
  • Ability to self-direct in loosely defined projects and manage multiple concurrent workstreams with minimal supervision
  • Comfort with ambiguity and rapid context-switching across unrelated business domains
