Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes while enforcing AS9100D/ISO9001 quality standards. Lead nonconformance tracking, FMEA and root-cause corrective actions, tooling and inspection implementations, work instruction creation and audits, and coordinate between engineering, technicians, and ERP for execution. Support process development, troubleshooting, cost reduction, and timely deliverables for aerospace/DoD contracts.

  • Demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills in areas of process engineering and machine trouble shooting.
  • Perform process development for assigned projects and subsystem(s) based on contract requirements and Technical Data Package to include specification derived requirements
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all reports/deliverables
  • Perform specific, routine project or technical tasks within defined scope of responsibility
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
  • Support root‑cause analysis for production issues and implement sustainable corrective/preventive actions
  • Identify and implement cost‑reduction opportunities through process improvements and lean principles
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (mechanical, manufacturing) or business/ process preferred
  • Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree

Experience:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in the required task area
  • Aerospace, DoD contract or Air Force MRO/Depot experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Air Force Technical Orders and ASTM standards a plus

Security:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of professional experience in process or manufacturing engineering
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Experience enforcing AS9100D and ISO9001 quality standards
  • Experience performing FMEA and RCCA (root-cause corrective actions)
  • Experience working with ERP systems to support manufacturing planning and execution
  • Aerospace, DoD contract, or Air Force MRO/Depot experience
  • Familiarity with Air Force Technical Orders and ASTM standards
  • Strong problem-solving and process development skills, including tooling and inspection point implementation
