Shaping the Future of Enterprise Data & Analytics. Lead end-to-end Master Data Management (MDM) product delivery by driving requirements, governance, and data consumption frameworks. Job Details

  • Position Title:  Process Manager – Enterprise Data & Analytics

  • Career Level: P4

  • Job Category: Assistant Vice President

  • Role Type: Hybrid

  • Job Location: Bangalore

  • Shift Timing: 2 pm - 11 pm

About the Team:

This role operates within the MDM Data Management – Customer 360 / Reference 360 Programme, supporting enterprise-wide data consumption and downstream reporting. The team ensures that MDM golden records are accurately propagated across APIs, batch pipelines, data warehouse /Snowflake, and reporting layers.

The Lead Analyst plays a critical role in bridging data producers and consumers, ensuring that MDM data is reliable, well-documented, and aligned with business and regulatory expectations. Working collaboratively with cross-functional pod members, the Business Analyst will drive efficient workflows, optimize data systems, and support iterative delivery in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Impact:

The Senior MDM Analyst – MDM acts as the product-centric bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams across the full MDM ecosystem. Drawing on expertise spanning data ingestion quality, MDM core configuration, and downstream data consumption, this role owns the end-to-end product requirements lifecycle — from source system data discovery through to financial reporting and UI consumption.

Rather than executing technical tasks, this role shapes what gets built and why — ensuring MDM products (Customer 360, Reference 360) deliver trusted, governed, and business-ready master data. The Senior MDM Analyst acts as a product advocate for data quality, driving outcomes aligned with business value, regulatory needs, and stakeholder expectations.

End-to-end ownership spans:

Source Systems → Data Ingestion & Quality  →  MDM Core (C360 / R360)  →  APIs & Batch  →  Snowflake  →  Financial Reporting & UI.

Core Capability Areas

This role consolidates responsibilities spanning three functional domains, acting as a unified product and business analysis function across the MDM programme:

Data Ingestion & Quality

MDM Core Configuration

Data Consumption & Reporting

Governance & Stewardship

Product Requirements

Stakeholder Engagement

Data Reconciliation

UAT & Acceptance

Financial Reporting Alignment

Key Deliverables (Duties & Responsibilities):

1. Product Requirements & Backlog Ownership

  • Own end-to-end requirements for MDM product features across ingestion, core processing, and downstream consumption workstreams

  • Translate business needs into structured artefacts:

    • User stories, epics, and acceptance criteria

    • Data mapping and transformation specifications

    • Business rules documentation and data dictionaries

  • Prioritize and maintain the MDM product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner and delivery leads

  • Drive sprint planning input, ensuring requirements are ready, clear, and testable before development begins

  • Manage change requests, impact assessments, and requirements traceability across the MDM programme

2. Stakeholder Engagement & Workshop Facilitation

  • Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, data stewards, and offshore technical teams

  • Facilitate requirements workshops, data discovery sessions, and sign-off reviews with business owners

  • Communicate complex data and MDM concepts to non-technical audiences in clear, business-relevant language

  • Manage stakeholder expectations across competing priorities across ingestion, MDM core, and reporting workstreams

  • Produce executive-ready summaries, decision papers, and status updates for senior stakeholders

3.  Data Ingestion & Quality – Business Analysis

Covering responsibilities consolidated from the P4 Ingestion Developer role:

  • Define business requirements for data ingestion pipelines from source systems into MDM (batch and near real-time)

  • Document and validate data quality rules across dimensions:

  • Lead data profiling reviews — interpret profiling outputs and translate findings into actionable quality requirements and remediation stories

  • Define acceptance criteria for:

    • Source-to-MDM data transformations

    • Match, merge, and deduplication logic

    • Reference data validation and standardization rules

  • Gather and document requirements for Informatica Customer 360 and Reference 360 configuration included:

    • Golden record survivorship rules and trust scoring logic

    • Match and duplicate detection rules and thresholds

    • Hierarchy management, relationship modelling, and entity structures

    • Reference data classifications and code table definitions

  • Validate MDM platform configurations against agreed business rules — raise and track defects where gaps are identified

  • Document data lineage from source systems through MDM processing to golden record output

  • Maintain master data entity definitions, attribute ownership, and business glossary entries

  • Support data stewardship workflows — define exception handling, escalation paths, and steward responsibilities

5.  Data Consumption & Reporting – Business Analysis

Covering responsibilities consolidated from the P3 Consumption Developer role:

  • Define requirements for MDM data consumption across all downstream channels:

    • API-based integrations (REST/JSON) document payload structures, field mappings, and transformation logic

    • Batch pipelines — document scheduling, completeness rules, and failure handling requirements

    • Snowflake consumption and reporting layers — specify data models, aggregation logic, and reporting datasets

    • UI applications — validate that displayed data aligns with MDM golden records

  • Own requirements for financial and regulatory reporting data flows — define attribute-level business rules, hierarchies, and classification structures required for reporting accuracy

  • Lead reconciliation requirements definition across MDM → API → Snowflake → Reporting layers

  • Review and sign off on data lineage documentation from MDM source through to final reporting outputs

  • Validate alignment between MDM golden records and downstream outputs; raise discrepancies as formal defects

6. UAT Leadership & Acceptance Management

  • Define comprehensive test scenarios and acceptance criteria covering all three MDM workstreams:

    • Ingestion and data quality validation

    • MDM core processing, match/merge, and golden record accuracy

    • API, batch, Snowflake, and reporting consumption flows

  • Coordinate and lead UAT sessions with business stakeholders — manage scheduling, facilitation, and issue triage

  • Support production readiness reviews and post-go-live data validation activities

  • Produce UAT summary reports for delivery leads and senior stakeholders

7. Data Reconciliation & Validation Oversight

  • Define reconciliation requirements and frameworks across all MDM data layers

  • Review and interpret reconciliation outputs produced by technical teams — translate findings into business impact statements and prioritized remediation requirements

  • Drive root cause analysis for data discrepancies — document findings and ensure corrective requirements are formally captured

  • Monitor ongoing reconciliation metrics and escalate data integrity risks to the MDM Product Owner
