Team Overview and Job responsibilities
Within Operations, in the Investment and Engineering Group, the Process and Machinery Engineering Manager has responsibility to analyze and validate the project proposals received from affiliates/plants at international level
He/she will:
- establish regular follow up activities aimed at ensuring proper project execution;
- maintain the main machinery database of all affiliates;
- liaise with the internal customers (affiliates), understanding their needs;
- communicate and coordinate with local teams, plant managers and other involved functions;
- assist local teams in the management and resolution of issues by providing guidance and transferring knowledge from other plants;
- identify best practices to be adopted at group level by extended benchmarking on specific and critical processes/methods.
The ideal candidate will also have the responsibilities for:
- Defining main technical characteristics of equipment necessary to implement the investments supporting Prysmian strategy
- Defining timing and budget of the projects to be evaluated / approved
- Coordinating all the steps from project definition to commissioning and start - up of equipment
- Supporting all affiliates in solving issues on process and machinery
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Process and Machinery Engineering Manager with the following key requirements:
- At least seven to ten years of professional experience in a technical role (technology or manufacturing), preferably in the Industrial sector. Training will be provided if necessary.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree required
- English proficiency and Italian mother tongue
- CAD design experience is a plus
- On field (plant) experience is a plus
- Good communication, negotiation and team working skills. Ability to understand the context of the work environment
- Management of inter-departmental and multicultural relations, given the number of countries and plants of Prysmian Group
- Ability to identify potential problems, either technical or procedural, propose solutions and involve other colleagues in developing these solutions when necessary
- Availability to travel
- Type of contract: Permanent Full time
- Location: Milan
- Applicable Collective Agreement: CCNL Gomma, Plastica, Cavi elettrici e affini.
- Job Level/Category in line with the applicable collective agreement.
- Gross annual salary no less than: € 55.000
- The position is eligible for an individual or collective variable incentive based on the achievement of predetermined performance objectives
