Job Summary:
Micron is seeking a highly motivated Process Kit & Calibration Equipment Technician that is responsible for end-to-end lifecycle management of process kits and coordination of equipment calibration activities to support high-volume manufacturing (HVM). This role ensures kits are properly tracked, staged, maintained, and available to support preventive and corrective maintenance, while also driving calibration compliance and audit readiness. The position partners cross-functionally with equipment engineering, bench teams, and calibration groups to improve operational efficiency, maintain data accuracy, and deliver continuous improvement in kit performance and calibration processes. Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of process kits, including tracking, staging, kitting, refurbishment, and final disposition.
- Coordinate and ensure kit readiness to support preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance, and tool recovery activities.
- Maintain accurate records of kit locations, status, and key metrics within tracking systems to ensure data integrity and audit readiness.
- Partner with equipment engineers and bench teams to identify kit shortages, drive standardization, and implement design or process improvements.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as kit readiness, turnaround time, calibration completion, and audit findings.
- Coordinate equipment and tool calibration schedules in alignment with production priorities, ensuring timely execution and closure.
- Verify calibration compliance, documentation accuracy, and support investigations for out-of-tolerance conditions or calibration-related issues.
- Develop and maintain procedures, work instructions, and documentation while ensuring compliance with safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate degree in Electronics, Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics, Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, equipment, bench, or technical support environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Working knowledge of calibration concepts, PM processes, or standardized work systems.
- Proficiency using computer systems for tracking, documentation, and reporting.
Preferred Requirements:
- Semiconductor fabrication or equipment bench experience.
- Familiarity with process kits, consumables, and non-consumables.
- Experience supporting audits or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally.
- Experience with continuous improvement or TPM activities.
