Job Description:

  • Advocates for patient safety and protects patients and providers by promoting safe practices and policies.
  • Escalates patient safety concerns to appropriate leadership with honesty and integrity.
  • Acts as an in-house consultant for data and information needs to guide performance improvement.
  • Defines project scope to maintain focus and uses measures to ensure interventions are sustained over time.
  • Communicates regularly with stakeholders about progress toward goal achievement, critical factors, and obstacles.

  • Ability to apply mature, independent judgment to situations that may arise. Good judgment is essential in prioritization of job responsibilities when unusual situations occur. Consequences of decisions may be extensive. [Required]
  • Frequent independent judgment is required to deal with immediate problems; policies or procedures may not be available. [Required]
  • Ability to influence and persuade teams, up to and including the executive level, to build consensus within and across stakeholder groups (high level negotiation skills) [Required]
  • Intermediate knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, Excel, PowerPoint, and database programs and beginning skills in analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting of databases and software [Required]
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and issues to facilitate data needs [Required]
  • Ability to create professional presentations for executive leadership teams [Required]
  • Ability to function autonomously with little supervision [Required]

  • Has knowledge of quality & process improvement methodologies such as lean six sigma [Required]
  • Ability to succinctly translate high-level concepts into actionable items [Required]
