The Role
The role of Reconciliations Process Executive is a key position within the Central Reconciliations Team and consequently we are looking for a candidate who has sound experience of investigating reconciliation breaks and progressing those breaks to resolution whilst working collaboratively to prevent issues reoccurring.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience in a reconciliations, finance or accounting role with the skills to investigate both bank side breaks and internal system side breaks.

The Team
The Central Reconciliations Team is a team of approximately 70 people based both in the UK and Offshore (India) who complete monthly reconciliations on approximately 4,000 bank accounts covering a diverse product range such as Dividends, Corporate Actions, Prosearch, SIP and SAYE. The team also complete FCA compliant daily reconciliations on a further 1,000 Client Money regulated bank accounts.
The reconciliation of bank accounts is a core service to our clients, who expect the highest standard of quality. The team is often required to provide their expertise to support business critical projects that have a reconciliation impact and we are seen as a key stakeholder within EQ.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Investigating, progressing and resolving reconciliation breaks
- Liaising with Operational teams around the business in order to progress queries to rectification
- Completing monthly reconciliations on non-client money bank accounts
- Monitoring of various team email inboxes and dealing with queries
- Loading of data to the reconciliation system
- Setting up new accounts, general account maintenance and the closing of bank accounts
- Client reporting tasks such as Client Returns, Forfeits and History Strips
- Ensuring that any tasks relating to the daily client money reconciliations are completed with adherence to FCA CASS regulations

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Excellent IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel to intermediate or advanced level
- Proven investigations skills with a proactive nature
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to prioritise and manage tasks efficiently, and work to SLAs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong team player with an enthusiastic attitude
