Process Engineering Internship
Scot Forge Company is looking to hire two Process Engineering Interns for the summer of 2027 at the corporate facility in Spring Grove, IL. This internship will provide an understanding of the manufacturing processes pertaining to Forgings and allow a student to gain experience problem solving the manufacturing design aspects and requirements of our products.
Anticipated Projects include:
- SolidWorks support
- Standardization of order entry practices
- Build PES wizards that can be format stolen for basic orders to remove need to revisit simple specs/increase productivity.
- Investigate test quantity issues between lab/ Process Engineering/ Information Technology
- Research and review Non-Compliance Reports
- Facilitate SME reviews
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
- Rising Junior or higher at start of internship
- Communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to change focus often based on needs of the department
- Intermediate SolidWorks skills (or other 3D modeling software)
Preferred Skills:
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Basic manufacturing knowledge
- Ability to understand complex specification wording

The estimated pay range for this position is the lowest and highest range we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We ultimately may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. The actual base pay offered to a candidate will depend on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, geographic location and prevailing minimum wage, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
