The Contribution You’ll bring to this Role:
The Process Engineer I is an entry-level engineering role responsible for supporting manufacturing and operational processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. This position works closely with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to analyze processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement practical solutions that support operational goals.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with strong analytical skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

What You’ll Do at Justrite:
- Support daily manufacturing and production operations by monitoring process performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Assist in troubleshooting production issues related to equipment, materials, and process variability.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to improve efficiency, quality, throughput, and waste reduction.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Develop and maintain process documentation including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), flow charts, and process maps.
- Assist with validation and implementation of new equipment, tooling, or manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and EHS.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities for quality or production concerns.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports related to process performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in capital improvement and cost reduction projects as assigned.
- Support training efforts related to new or revised manufacturing processes.
- Maintain organized engineering records, drawings, and technical documentation.
Your Skills and Expertise:
To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering discipline required.
- 0–2 years of engineering or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or process improvement environments is a plus.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial operations.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles preferred.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, process diagrams, and specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP, MES, CAD, or statistical analysis software is a plus.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
Compensation:
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000.
Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
