Why This Role Matters
As a Process Engineer, you will be a key player in optimizing production processes and supporting quality initiatives within the Foundry department. What You’ll Do
- Lead quality improvement activities within the Foundry department, ensuring the highest standards are met with care and attention to detail.
- Collaborate closely with teams to identify and address performance gaps in tire curing molds, balancing quality, lead time, and cost considerations.
- Design and implement new methods and projects to optimize processes and improve overall production efficiency, always with an eye on sustainability.
- Advocate for the integration of new technologies that can improve capabilities, enhance production processes, and support team growth.
- Support production teams in maintaining and optimizing existing installations, ensuring their longevity and efficiency.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement programs, prioritizing environmental, ergonomic, and safety aspects to foster a healthy and supportive work environment.
What You’ll Bring
- A Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proven experience in equipment industrialization, process control, and root cause analysis.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and support others in reaching their full potential.
- Familiarity with CAD (preferably Catia V5) and experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001 or IATF 16949).
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and programming (VBA, Python) would be an asset.
- A background in metallurgy, particularly aluminum casting, and/or additive manufacturing (3D printing) is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- A nurturing mindset, with the ability to work independently and build supportive, collaborative relationships within teams.
