Position Summary:
Work to develop manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Facilitates and Leads Continuous Improvement events and is a participant in the overall leadership of a continuous Improvement program. Conducts product and process analysis and recommends improvements to quality, methods, and controls. Suggest and implements revisions to existing product lines or new product.
Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve processes in manufacturing systems
- Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards
- Champion the continuous improvement (CI) process and relative metrics, including running/facilitating CI events.
- Develops studies to improve product quality
- Prepare reports for quality systems and status meetings
- Collect samples and analyze data to develop improved processing methods
- Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process
- Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process
- Perform root cause analysis on nonconforming product and propose/implement process improvements to prevent reoccurrence
- Assist Quality to maintain UL, ISO, QCS, etc. Certifications
- Support sales staff with technical information
- Additional duties as assigned by manager
Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:
- Bachelor's in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering preferred
- 3+ years Manufacturing experience preferred
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently
- Strong Microsoft office skills to include Excel and related computer applications
- Proven detail attentiveness, organizational and time management skills
- Excellent math and measuring skills
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
Special Position Requirements:
- Personal protective equipment is required
- Continuous participation in company safety programs and initiatives
- Some travel required (<20%) to other our other facilities
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Work environment is comparable to outdoor temperatures
- Regularly stands, bends, and reaches for extended periods
- Regularly moves about the facility
- Periodically lifts and moves materials up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in hot and cold environments without climate-control.
- In-person attendance is an essential function of the job

Skills Required
