We are looking for a Process Engineer Manager for our Williamsport location to provide production/process engineering leadership to the site for ongoing production operations and new process introductions.  Serve as a resource for leading and or implementing engineering studies, designs, evaluations and improvements to optimize utilizations.  Lead the production / process engineering and Continuous Improvement teams to meet safety, environmental, quality and cost objectives, while continually improving overall productivity.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for safe and efficient operation of assigned process areas such that all regulatory, health, safety and environmental requirements are satisfied.
  • Supports Production Team in day to day troubleshooting of equipment and processes.  Monitor productivity, process yields, and product and process performance to meet production commitments in an efficient manner.
  • Works with Supervisors to standardize and analyze Daily Performance Management tools.
  • Responsible for Identifying Productivity and Continuous Improvement Opportunities with Production Team
  • Supports Operations Excellence activities through Production Area deployment, including Operational Standardization activities
  • Works with all Production Personnel to Define Project Priorities
  • Supports Production Operations Management in improving Labor Utilization across assigned Production Areas
  • Coordinates projects from inception to completion ensuring efficient implementation, timely completion, and compliance to budget.
  • Ensure operating procedures are up to date and in compliance with appropriate standards.
  • Maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 certifications for the business by complying with processes, procedures and instructions for all activities in which this role participates.
  • Work closely with the Quality Control Lab to determine process capabilities
  • Maintains frequent communications with all teams, such as: Core Maintenance, Quality Control, Cost Accounting, Order Fulfillment, Engineering and Production.
  • Responsibility for the improvement and optimization of existing operations. This includes:
  • Increase profitability through Usage/Yield improvement
  • Shorten cycle times
  • Shorten “turnaround” time between products

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's in chemical engineering required
  • Master's in engineering (Highly preferred)
  • Must have extensive experience in chemical manufacturing (5-10 years)
  • Must have leadership experience in a chemical manufacturing setting (5-10 years)
  • PSM knowledge a HUGE plus
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring everyone works towards common goals.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of chemical processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Communication: Clear and effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions.

The expected salary range for this role is $ 120,000-160,000, but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.    

This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
