About the Process Engineer Internship:
Gain hands-on experience supporting manufacturing operations through root cause analysis, data collection and statistical analysis, and Lean continuous improvement initiatives. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to solve real-world engineering challenges and drive operational excellence.
Program structure:
- Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
- Location: Saukville, WI
- Start Date: May 2027
- Duration: Year-round internship
What we're looking for:
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore standing.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Ability to succeed in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Preferred experience:
- Basic Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma Skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll focus on:
- Work in the draw departments to improve production efficiency, product quality, and assist in the implementation of standards.
- Performing time studies, working with operators on how to improve the process, and identifying root causes of production issues.
