Are you looking for new challenges in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? If so, you could be one of our new colleagues in Enzyme Recovery Kalundborg. Recovery AC is the biggest enzymes recovery unit in Novonesis, with decanter and drum lines and a spray drying unit, with cross-functional collaboration across the department and other parts of Novozymes’ Supply Chain.

The department is rapidly evolving, and in the coming years, we expect to introduce a lot of new equipment and entirely new processes. If you have a talent for working with equipment and a passion for biotechnology, you might be exactly who we're looking for.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

You will be part of a team of dedicated and skilled engineers and technicians with four main responsibilities:

• Process and product responsibility including daily supervision and optimization to meet business targets for quality, economy and regulatory requirements.

• Optimization activities including identifying and driving technology projects to further improve our production processes and secure future capacity.

• Take part in developing and implementing long-term strategies for the department.

• Reach out to internal and external partners to support them, work with them and get inspiration to make sure we remain a center of excellency for enzymes recovery in Novozymes.

You will need to translate your scientific understanding into everyday real-life big scale production issues. Furthermore, you will be part of cross-functional teams working together to develop the next generation of enzyme recovery products and ensure that these are brought efficiently into the market.

To succeed you must:

• Have an educational background as B. Sc. or M.Sc. within Chemical engineering, Biochemical engineering, Food Technology or similar

• Have a high degree of personal drive and the ability to overcome unforeseen barriers and create results

• Be a team-player who contributes proactively and understands the importance of successful collaborations

• Be capable of taking the role as informal leader for operators and technicians in daily decision making.

• Be a quick learner and able to communicate complex problems to colleagues and stakeholders with different insights into recovery technology and processes

• Be able to combine scientific talent with practical skills and be as comfortable solving short-term problems as optimizing processes to improve long-term productivity

• Have a technical interest and be capable of optimizing process conditions in a complex operational set-up

• Be excellent in written and oral communication skills in Danish and English
