  • Stock precipitation process for two paper machines (owns as the process is performed) – Operates process computer system that controls the processing of various ingredients for specified formulas. Makes adjustments to feedstock to meet formula requirement
  • Process change recommendations (participates and owns) – Recommends and implements potential process improvements that would improve the efficiency of the process and the quality of products being manufactured.
  • Quality control checks on raw materials and precipitated stock (owns as the process in performed) – Performs a variety of tests on feed stocks and precipitated stock. Completes required paperwork to document results of tests.
  • Batch tank weight verification and equipment calibration -owns as the process is performed – Performs on tanks and testing equipment on a routine basis. Document’s verification and calibration actions and performs routine maintenance on testing equipment.
  • Quality Improvement Process (participates) – Works with ISO 9000 procedures and helps to update procedures as they change. Is expected to participate in process improvement efforts within own operation and as needed in other operations. Trains new operators.
  • Safety process (participates and insures) – Responsible for operating in a safe manner, following all plant safety procedures. Ensures safety of employees cleaning tanks within operation.
  • Environmental process - participates – Understands and complies with plant environmental procedures.

Other:

  • Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules
  • Must be able to work extended hours when required
  • All other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:

  • High School Diploma required

Additional Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Manufacturing experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Strong time management and priorities management skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Excel. BPCS experience a plus.
  • Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers
  • Attention to detail
  • Metrics driven

Rate:  $31.75/Hr
