Job Description

As a Process Automation Software Engineer, you will design and deliver modern industrial applications across OT and IT layers, ensuring Connected Enterprise and IIoT solutions. Often the development is carried out as part of a co-innovation program with focused customers

  • Logix platform (Studio 5000 Logix Designer, FactoryTalk Design Studio)
  • FactoryTalk Optix (HMI / edge application platform)
  • FactoryTalk DataMosaix (industrial data platform)
  • Plex MES and Fiix CMMS (enterprise systems)
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop applications using Logix Designer and FactoryTalk Optix
  • Build edge-to-cloud integrations using DataMosaix, Plex, and Fiix
  • Develop APIs, microservices, and modern web applications
  • Leverage Time-Series Databases and Data Visualization Tools
  • Develop Requirements from the understanding of Manufacturing Systems
  • Define architectures from Logix control layer to cloud
  • Align control data models with enterprise and cloud solutions
  • Apply cloud-native and event-driven architectures
  • Drive adoption of OPC UA standards
  • Design data models using Smart Objects, FT Optix and FT DataMosaix
  • Integrate Logix, historian, and enterprise data
  • Enable analytics and predictive use cases
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; Rockwell Automation will not sponsor employment visas for this role, now or in the future.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Logix Designer and FactoryTalk Design Studio
  • Industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA)
  • FactoryTalk Optix, DataMosaix, Plex, Fiix
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • C# / .NET
  • Microservices, APIs, container-based systems
  • Technical and business writing
  • Translate complex architectures into solutions

Skills Required
