Blackstone Private Wealth was established to answer the growing demand for Blackstone products from high-net worth investors. Partnering with many of the world’s largest private banks and wealth management firms as well as family offices, Blackstone’s Private Wealth team packages and delivers the full breadth of Blackstone’s alternative product capability to these firms and their clients and provides ongoing product and advisor support, as well as education and training around alternatives.
Job Description:
With the goal of accelerating the adoption of Blackstone investment solutions and growing the private wealth business in Japan, the Vice President/Principal will be involved in driving and supporting fundraising efforts and relationships with distributors and asset management companies (sub-advisory partners).
The role will be responsible for leading fundraising activities by conducting teach-in sessions and client seminars for distributors (at branches or via online) and driving strategic promotion planning with marketing/sales team of distributors and asset management companies to support persistent growth of clients’ assets through the product lifecycle.
The role will also have significant interface with members of the firm’s global PWS group across all Blackstone investment funds and other groups within the firm.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
7+ years’ relevant work experience
Hands-on knowledge and experience within the asset management industry in Japan, existing networks with distributors or sub-advisory partners would be preferred
Great presentation skills (externally for distributors and end-clients, internally involving senior management)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
Demonstrate passion for capital markets, alternative investments, and retail and high-net worth businesses in Japan
Ability to perform at a high-level within a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture with a focus on excellence
Experience in project management and if the experience is across global/NY-based teams, that will be a plus
Relevant Local Financial Product Sales Licenses (if not, need to obtain after joining organization)
Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook
