Private Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer 

Position highlights: 

In this role, you will design, build, and consult on enterprise data-center and private-cloud solutions — from classic compute, storage, and SAN, through virtualization, to infrastructure automation and the move toward open-source and container platforms. You will work close to the technology and close to the client. 

What You`ll Do: 

• Design, implement, and consult on data-center and private-cloud solution architectures 

• Craft comprehensive technical solutions, including TCO calculations, competitive analysis, and business-case preparation 

• Build and automate infrastructure — provisioning, configuration management, and orchestration 

• Stay at the forefront of technology by researching and testing new solutions. 

• Produce high-quality technical documentation 

• Engage actively with clients through communication and presentations 

• Facilitate knowledge transfer and internal training, and help grow more junior colleagues. 

What You Bring: 

We are looking for a broad data-center generalist with real depth in several of the areas below. We do not expect every line — tell us where you are strong and where you want to grow. 

Core — we expect hands-on experience in most of these: 

• converged (Dell, Lenovo, Cisco UCS)/hyperconverged platforms (Cisco UCS, Dell VxRail, Cisco HyperFlex) - design and build 

• Enterprise storage — block and file (e.g. Dell PowerStore, IBM FlashSystem, PowerScale) and SAN fabric (Brocade, Cisco MDS). Replication, snapshots, data reduction, and DR 

• Virtualization with VMware vSphere/ESXi and vSAN; data-center design including HA and multi-site / Disaster Recovery 

• Backup and recovery solutions (e.g. Veeam, Commvault) 

Highly valued — any of these sets you apart, and are exactly where we are investing: 

• Infrastructure automation — Ansible, Terraform, VMware Aria Automation / Operations (vRealize) 

• Linux administration (RHEL / Ubuntu) 

• Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes — cluster operations and workload orchestration 

• Other virtualization platforms — Proxmox, KVM, Nutanix, Citrix XenServer 

• Software-defined and object storage (vSAN, Ceph, MinIO, Datacore)
