More about our mission and what we offer.
Job DescriptionAt Wise, our customers rely on us to handle their data carefully. Our global Privacy team helps make that happen while keeping things simple for customers and Wisers.
As our Privacy Operations Manager, you’ll run the day to day work behind our global privacy operations. That includes data subject rights requests (“DSRRs”), third party privacy due diligence, records of processing activities (“ROPA”) and privacy risk reporting.
You’ll improve how the team works at scale - simplifying processes, reducing manual work and giving senior governance forums clear information about privacy risk
You’ll work across Legal, Product, Engineering, Third Party Management, Security, Customer Service and Complaints teams to remove blockers and keep privacy operations running smoothly as Wise grows.
What you’ll do:
Run the team handling DSRRs, making sure work is prioritised, queues remain healthy and requests are completed accurately and within statutory deadlines. Provide regular coaching and feedback, helping people build their skills and progress in their careers.
Improve DSRR workflows, quality assurance (“QA”) checks, guidance, templates and tooling so the team can handle growing volumes and more complex cases with less manual work and consistently high quality.
Run privacy due diligence for our vendor and commercial partners, covering data processing, international transfers and contract terms. Maintain ongoing reviews and periodic reassessments based on privacy risk, working with Third Party Management and Security.
Keep our ROPA and related processing records accurate. Work with Product, Engineering and other technical teams to make sure updates reflect changes to systems, data flows and infrastructure, and maintain the evidence and audit trails needed for internal reviews and regulatory enquiries.
Turn operational data into clear privacy risk reporting and recommendations for Executive Leadership, Audit & Risk Committees and Board panels. Use quantitative and qualitative indicators to highlight trends, backlogs, vendor risk and emerging issues, and act as the main operational point of contact working with Privacy Counsel on complex or high-risk cases.
A bit about you:
You have 5+ years’ experience in privacy operations, legal operations or data governance, including managing and coaching people who handle data subject rights requests. You can balance day to day delivery with team development and well being.
You know how GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and other major privacy rules apply to day to day privacy operations, particularly DSRRs, processing records and third party privacy due diligence.
You can turn operational data into clear metrics and risk reporting for senior audiences.
You’ve worked with privacy or workflow tools such as Zendesk, Twilio and Jira, and can navigate complex data systems.
You can work effectively in a fast moving environment, set priorities, improve processes and handle complex cases.
Additional experience:
A CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT qualification is useful, but not essential.
Experience in technology, fintech or another regulated sector is also useful, but not essential.
Salary for the role - 1,915,000 to 2,460,000 HUF gross monthly (+RSU's)

Hybrid Workspace
Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.
We expect new joiners in the office most days to build connections and learn from colleagues for their first six months. After that, most Wisers split their working week between the office and home, typically coming in at least 12 times a month.
