The Opportunity
The Output Processing Operator is responsible for producing, printing, inserting, processing, and preparing critical customer communications and financial documents while ensuring the highest levels of quality, accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across MetLife's U.S. Operations. This role is essential to supporting MetLife's commitment to delivering important customer materials accurately and on time, while maintaining regulatory and USPS compliance throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate high-speed inserters and printers according to established procedures.
- Properly sets up and operates MICR Printers, check inserters, folders, copiers.
- Expert knowledge in QA of all outputs inspected for quality and accuracy. All Output counts must be exact at all times.
- All problems must be immediately reported to the Area Supervisor and / or management.
- Trains and assists peers. Uses time productively. Seeks additional work during slack periods and helps others in meeting commitments.
- Expert knowledge in keeping accurate and precise counts on all log sheets of all checks printed, inserted, presort and special handling.
- Proficiency in maintaining all required meter logs, reconciliation logs, postage reports, check inventory logs accurately.
- Proficiency in making sound decisions, when necessary, ensure all commitments are met. Will take corrective action with all problems encountered.
- Gives clear and precise carryover instructions to all co-workers taking over for them.
- Expert knowledge in all procedures dealing with MA&H cancellations. This includes matching, notarizing, mass certified, and affiant responsibilities. Also prepares spoiled postage reports and meter replenishments.
- Proficient at taking corrective action regarding problems encountered in all areas.
- Completes all supporting paper documentation according to USPS regulations. Maintains accurate logs pertaining to the mail presort operation.
- Load materials, such as envelopes and documents, into the equipment.
- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning the equipment and changing out ink.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of outgoing mail and printed materials.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Required Qualifications
- Able to make sound decisions, when necessary, to ensure all commitments are met, taking corrective action with all problems encountered, and complete all special handling requests as directed withing the instructions given.
- Position includes pushing, pulling, lifting. Lifting can be from 20lbs to 50 lbs. Position is considered light industrial.
- High School Diploma
- Experience in a production setting
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years Experience in a production setting
- Previous experience operating high-speed print, inserting, or mail processing equipment in a production environment.
- Working knowledge of quality control procedures and ability to identify and resolve production discrepancies.
The expected salary range for this position is $41 ,600 - $53,000 . This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
