Principle  Scaffolding Specialist:

KBR is seeking a Principle Scaffolding Specialist for a rotational 28/28 position based in Iraq.

Roles and Responsibilities:

To lead, supervise, and coordinate all scaffolding operations across KBR-EPCM-managed project sites, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, CISRS standards, OSHA regulations, and client safety expectations. Acts as the technical authority for all scaffolding works, ensuring activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with industry best practices.

Role Overview:

• Ensure full implementation of the approved scaffolding procedure across all KBR-EPCM project sites.
• Review and approve scaffolding method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work documents.
• Supervise scaffolding activities to ensure compliance with CISRS and OSHA standards, as well as KBR-EPCM-specific requirements.
• Lead and monitor daily scaffolding operations, including erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling.
• Verify the competency and certification of all scaffold team members; ensure continuous compliance with CISRS standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure scaffolding works are executed safely and aligned with the construction schedule.
• Act as the focal point for all scaffolding-related issues within the KBR-EPCM scope of work.
• Conduct regular scaffold inspections, compliance checks, and safety audits.
• Maintain detailed records, inspection logs, and ensure full traceability of scaffolding activities.
• Enhancing construction safety by minimizing on-site exposure through modularization, standardization, and maximizing off-site construction.

Required Certifications

• CISRS Advanced Scaffolder
• CISRS Scaffold Inspector
• CISRS Scaffold Supervisor

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 10 years of scaffolding experience in oil & gas or heavy industrial projects, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong working knowledge of international scaffolding standards (CISRS, OSHA, BS EN 12811).
• Prior experience with EPCM projects under KBR or similar organizations is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
