How is This Role Important to our Work? 

We are looking for a passionate, hard-working Facets lead technologist who can help us build innovative technology experiences that will support BlueCross’s mission to inspire change, transform care and improve health for the people we serve! This position will be a focal point for the platform working with leadership to bring together architecture, development, configuration, and operational support to ensure cohesive operation and continuous improvement of the platform. This is a high visibility role with room for growth! 

 

A Day in the Life: 

  • Act as lead Facets / Claims Processing technical consultant. 

  • Analyze, design, configure, debug, enhance, maintain Facets based claims processing platform and integrated technologies. 

  • Work collaboratively on a daily scrum team with a scrum master, product owner, analysts, other developers, and testers to iteratively deliver functional code to production. 

  • Mentor and provide leadership direction to other members of Claims Processing platform team 

  • Plan, edit, and optimize claims batch processing schedule for both small enhancements and major projects 

  • Provide technical leadership for projects and products to ensure usability, usefulness, feasibility, and cost effectiveness of the platform. 

  • Work with analysts and customers to establish product or project requirements. 

  • Contribute innovative solutions while utilizing best practices, design standards, and governance. 

  • Research technology trends and contribute to designs and technology platform decisions. 

  • Collaborate with technology leaders and architecture to develop product roadmap. 

  • Mentor, lead, train other team members. 

  • This job will include on-call duties. 

  • This job may have direct reports and include HR management responsibilities. 

 

Nice to Have: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree. 

  • Significant knowledge of and experience with Facets based Claims Processing Platform 

  • Significant experience and knowledge of health care payer domain data such as Claims, Membership, Provider, Benefits 

  • Familiarity with Facets configuration, operation, and batch processing 

  • Experience with agile, DevOps, IT Service Management, and other development and support processes and methodologies. 

  • In depth prototype design and implementation experience. 

  • Experience working with vendors. 

  • Experience with:  

  • SQL 

  • AWS 

  • Python 

  • Javascript 

  • Worked in an organization of 250 or more users with experience providing user support, training, and data cleanup and/or data migration 

 

Required Skills and Experiences: 

  • 7+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered. 

  • Essential Candidate Qualities:  

  • Creative thinking, strong communication skills, creativity, curiosity, self-motivated, time managements skills 

Role Designation:

Hybrid

Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely.  Onsite is full-time onsite.

Compensation and Benefits:

$115,000.00 - $155,300.00 - $195,600.00 Annual

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
