We're looking for a Principal TPM to lead our most strategic and complex programs across engineering and product. You'll operate at the intersection of execution rigor and strategic influence — partnering with senior leaders to align roadmaps, drive delivery at scale, and build the operating models that allow high-performing teams to do their best work. A meaningful portion of your portfolio will involve AI transformation initiatives, but the core of this role is excellent program leadership across all strategic priorities.
Requirements:
- 7+ years in technical program management, 3+ at principal / staff level
- Track record delivering large, complex programs in engineering-led organizations
- Experience owning or co-owning quarterly and annual engineering roadmap planning
- Strong command of Agile, SAFe, or equivalent delivery frameworks
- Proven ability to align engineering and product roadmaps across competing priorities
- Experience influencing VP+ stakeholders without direct authority
- Fluency with delivery metrics: DORA, SPACE, cycle time, deployment frequency
- Deep experience with Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian-native workflows
Roles and Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of 2–3 strategic programs spanning engineering, product, and cross-functional teams — from scoping through to measurable outcomes.
- Build and maintain trust with senior engineering and product leaders by providing reliable, well-structured program oversight that surfaces the right information at the right time.
- Drive clarity in ambiguous situations — breaking down complex, multi-team initiatives into structured plans with clear ownership, milestones, and success criteria.
- Identify risks early, drive decisions to closure, and escalate the right things to the right people without over-engineering the process.
- Lead cross-functional alignment across engineering, product, design, data, and security
- Build program dashboards and reporting cadences that give leadership a clear, honest picture of portfolio health without creating unnecessary overhead for delivery teams.
- Shape and maintain a program governance model that scales — decision rights, escalation paths, steering cadences — tailored to program complexity rather than one-size-fits-all.
- Contribute to the broader TPM community by developing reusable patterns, playbooks, and frameworks that raise the floor for program delivery across the org.
All employees are expected to demonstrate AI fluency appropriate to their role and level, including responsible use of AI tools, sound judgment, and adherence to company AI governance and security policy standards.
