Northrop Grumman Mission System (NGMS) AMS Division is seeking a qualified and motivated professional for the role of Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist supporting Multi-Role Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) within the Advanced Battle Management (ABM) Operating Unit in Linthicum, MD.
Roles and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
- Managing, reporting, and forecasting material cost/performance of assigned program(s)
- Managing the material budget for contract requirements while supporting baseline/EVMS requirements
- Supporting the CAM with program PLATO/EV/CEAC/EAC activities
- Analyzing lead times and identifying critical path procurements
- Managing on time req release, PO placements, and PO delivery dates to maintain program schedule
- Monitoring and addressing supplier capacity and/or production issues
- Interfacing/collaborating with other functions of the program team including but not limited to contracts, finance, engineering, operations, quality, scheduling, etc.
- Developing and understanding the proposal/execution strategy and structures
- Supporting program proposal activities (CBOM review, quote initiation/refreshes, labor BOE creation)
- Representing Northrop Grumman and presenting in program management reviews (PMRs) and leadership briefings (internal/external)
- Maintaining a strong business acumen and ability to operate in a fast-paced production environment

Basic Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in supply chain management, project management, and/or business management OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in supply chain management, project management, and/or business management
- Experience in SAP (or any other ERP system)
- U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist:
- Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or Financial Planning
- Material management experience
- Cost Accounting Management (CAM) experience
- Experience in Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR and DFARS.
- Experience with cost, schedule, variance reporting
- Experience coaching teams and leading change initiatives with demonstrated results
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance
Skills Required
