Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector, Eastern Region Engineering, is hiring a qualified Principal or Senior Principal Mission Engineer for missions within the Space Superiority Division. Successful candidates for this position will work in a technical role for space and ground programs in Dulles, VA. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting, cutting-edge programs and new mission areas in the following areas to support next generation space capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:
For Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and 5 years of relevant experience; or 3 years with a Master's; 0 years with a PhD
Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Bachelors of Science degree in technical field + 8 years of experience, or Masters of Science degree in technical field + 6 years of experience; or a PhD and 3+ years of experience
Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices
Experience in requirements management, system architecture development, and CONOPs.
Current or active Top Secret/SCI security clearance at time of application
Preferred Experience:
Experience with a space or ground system development program
Experience presenting to customers
Experience working with a cross-discipline team
Experience in Space Superiority mission design, satellite ground software, distributed modeling & simulation
Understanding of system of system architecture designs the interplay between various national security customers and products
Mission system requirements, verification/validation planning, mission planning/execution, mission analysis, modeling/simulation, system trade studies
Proficiency in any modeling and simulation tools: Cameo, STK, Matlab, AFSIM, Python
Skills Required
