Principal Solution Architect

Trend AI is seeking a Regional Solution Architect to lead technical engagement and solution strategy across the Southeast Asia (SEA) region. This role combines deep cloud and cybersecurity expertise with strong customer-facing leadership to support enterprise and mid-market customers in designing secure, scalable, and outcome-driven architectures.

As a trusted regional technical advisor, you will partner closely with Sales, Channel, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to guide customers through cloud transformation, hybrid modernization, Zero Trust adoption, and AI-powered security operations. You will influence outcomes across the entire customer lifecycle — from pre-sales strategy and architecture design to Proof of Concept (POC) execution and long-term platform adoption.

This is a high-visibility role requiring strong executive presence, regional collaboration, and the ability to align technical solutions with business priorities across diverse markets in SEA.

• Serve as the primary regional technical advisor for enterprise and strategic accounts across South East Asia

• Drive solution strategy and architectural consistency across multiple SEA markets

• Support country teams in complex or strategic opportunities

• Represent Trend Micro at regional industry events, executive briefings, and partner engagements

Customer & Pre-Sales Engagement

• Act as the lead technical advisor throughout the sales cycle

• Lead architecture discussions, whiteboard sessions, executive presentations, and technical deep dives

• Understand customer security architectures, business objectives, and risk posture, mapping them to Trend Micro’s portfolio

• Support RFP/RFI responses and complex deal strategy

• Lead and manage cloud and security Proof of Concepts (POCs) with measurable technical and business outcomes

Solution Architecture & Design

• Design end-to-end security architectures across cloud, endpoint, network, email, identity, and hybrid environments

• Architect secure cloud-native and hybrid solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP

• Apply Zero Trust principles, identity models, segmentation, posture management, XDR, and CNAPP best practices

• Provide integration guidance with third-party technologies (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, IAM, DevOps toolchains)

• Develop reference architectures, diagrams, demos, and best-practice playbooks for regional use

Cloud & Platform Expertise

• Advise customers on cloud adoption, workload protection, container/Kubernetes security, and DevSecOps practices

• Maintain deep knowledge of cloud security technologies including CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, XDR, and cloud-native analytics

• Stay current on AI-driven security capabilities, LLM-powered automation, and emerging cloud threats

Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration

• Work closely with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), MSSPs, GSIs, and regional channel partners

• Support partner enablement through technical workshops and joint engagements

• Strengthen ecosystem alignment to accelerate cloud adoption and expansion

Internal Collaboration & Feedback Loop

• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to provide structured feedback on market trends, gaps, and customer requirements

• Partner with Customer Success to ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to deployment and expansion

• Contribute to regional solution frameworks and enablement initiatives

• 10+ years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales Engineering, Security Consulting, or Cloud Architecture

• Strong background in cybersecurity domains such as cloud security, endpoint, network security, SOC/XDR, or hybrid security

• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)

• Experience designing secure architectures in enterprise or mid-market environments

• Proven ability to engage both executive stakeholders and deeply technical audiences

• Strong presentation, storytelling, and whiteboarding skills

• Experience working across multiple countries or regional environments preferred

• Willingness to travel within South East Asia

Preferred

• Experience with Trend Micro solutions or competing security vendors

• Knowledge of Zero Trust, CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, XDR, SIEM, and related frameworks

• Experience working with MSSPs, GSIs, and cloud partners

• Exposure to regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government)

• Hands-on scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

• Experience leading executive workshops, cloud strategy sessions, or security maturity assessments

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC2, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA)

• AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional)

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• GCP Professional Cloud Architect

• CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent security certifications

• Kubernetes, DevSecOps, or Cloud Security certifications

• Regional influence across South East Asia markets
