Position Summary 

We are actively seeking a Principal Solution Architect, Professional Services. The role may require periodic travel as necessary across the world. We are building something special at Rimini Street. As part of our Rimini Consult group, the Principal Solution Architect, Professional Services, will be responsible for designing and delivering customized solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients. You will work closely with clients, sales teams, and internal technical teams to understand client requirements, propose tailored solutions, and ensure successful implementation.

The role also encompasses providing thought leadership around functional strategy, including overseeing complex project implementations, Product Roadmap Analyses, reviewing and analyzing current system functionality, and have demonstrated a strong ability to analyze and provide guidance to support strategic objectives. He/she will demonstrate professional written and oral communication skills, deep analytical skills, deep functional expertise, solution orientation, strategic thinking, the ability to establish rapport at all levels within the organization, and the ability to drive consensus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Solution Strategy: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their strategic objectives and business requirements. Develop comprehensive solution strategies that align with these goals.

• Solution Design: Design comprehensive, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that address the client’s business requirements and objectives and address the challenges of scalability, performance, and security.

• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in SAP technologies, including S4HANA, ECC, BW, PI/CPI, BTP, Concur,Ariba, and other SAP on-prem and cloud solutions.

• Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical leader for complex projects, guiding internal and external teams in the implementation of solutions aligned with the architectural best practices.

• Solution Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including SAP architectural diagrams, integration architecture, design decisions, and technical standards and specifications.

• Project Leadership: Participate in project planning and project governance through remaining engaged through project lifecycle. Ensure that the solution delivered aligns with the solution design and client objectives established during the pre-sales stage.

• Technical Expertise: Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends. Apply your deep technical knowledge to architect innovative solutions.

• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues early in the project and work with the Project Manager to develop mitigation plans to ensure successful project delivery.

• Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to SAP basis administrators, ABAP and integration developers, ensuring they understand and can effectively work with the implemented solutions.

This role is expected to be at least 40 percent billable.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, preferably in Computer Sciences and/or Information Technology or related field (Master’s Degree preferred).

Desired Experience

• 10+ years’ experience in SAP technical architecture and design

• 10+ years’ experience in handson SAP basis administration and integrations.

  Architecting complex SAP solutions across multiple industry sectors – e.g., Manufacturing, Retail, Utilities, etc.

  Demonstrated experience in leading and architecting system upgrades and migrations.

  Ability to comprehend client requirements & build solution proposals that encapsulate the best possible design and the necessary skills and roles to deliver.

  Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills.

  Expertise using common communication management tools: e.g., Salesforce, MS Office, Etc.

  Strong verbal and written business communication skills.
