Description
Striim is hiring a Senior/Principal Solution Architect who will provide both technical leadership and hands-on implementation expertise while engaging with customers throughout the life cycle of the Striim Platform. This role involves leading the customer journey, including new customer onboarding, solution architecture strategy, and technical enablement. This roles specifically involves understanding customer’s IBM Db2 for z/OS environment and helps the customer to integrate IBM Db2 for z/OS into Striim platform seamlessly for their data modernization journey
In addition to customer-focused responsibilities, this candidate will:
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction for the team, driving high performance and operational excellence.
- Go to person for any IBM Db2 for z/OS related qns, clarifications, trouble shootings.
This position requires a hands-on leader who will:
- Design, develop, and implement customer solutions, including coding, scripting, and integration work.
- Lead technical troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts across cloud infrastructure, databases, and enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate will balance hands-on technical execution, team leadership, and strategic guidance to drive success
Responsibilities
As a Principal Solution Architect you will require Hands-On Technical Leadership & Implementing strategic direction for the team, driving high performance and operational excellence.
- Actively participate in customer solution implementations, including designing, coding, integrating, and debugging software solutions.
- Write and maintain code in SQL, Java, Python, and shell scripting for enterprise integrations and automation.
- Work with SQL databases such as IBM Db2 for z/OS to develop queries, optimize performance, and integrate applications.
- Debug and resolve critical technical issues, ensuring high system reliability and performance.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles (e.g., Pre-Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, Customer Success Engineer)
- Strong expertise in SQL databases specifically in IBM Db2 for z/OS is a Must.
- Strong expertise in configuring IBM Db2 for z/OS transaction logging system for the Change Data Capture (CDC) needs, stored procedure call implementations, required client connectivity experience such as JDBC/ODBC.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and data services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience working with distributed teams, including subcontracted employees, is a strong plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or Information Systems
