Job description
Solera, a global leader in digital vehicle lifecycle solutions, is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer with expertise in designing and building scalable mobile apps using iOS related technologies. The right candidate will guide and support other developers, work closely with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver top-quality iOS mobile applications that ensure an outstanding user experience.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and deploy iOS apps.
Work with product, design, and backend teams to deliver features.
Optimize for performance, security, and scalability.
Troubleshoot, debug, and update existing apps.
Stay current with iOS tools, frameworks, and best practices.
Participate in sprint planning, architecture, and code reviews.
Escalate and track issues promptly.
Apply creative problem-solving.
Mentor junior developers.
What You’ll Bring
12+ years of recent iOS application development experience. Ability to show code snippets and/or open-source projects are bonus points!
Fluency in Objective-C and Swift (the languages we use).
Knowledge of concurrency and threading in iPhone.
Knowledge of Navigation component.
Good knowledge of Xcode and iOS platform.
Experience with MVC / MVVM / MVI
Familiar with RESTful APIs and WebSocket and how to use them from iOS mobile applications.
Experience with object-oriented concepts and design patterns.
Good knowledge of different iOS mobile application architecture patterns.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Knowledge of security issues on mobile.
Basic knowledge of SQL, SQLite, Firebase
Hands-on experience in improving application performance.
Practical knowledge of observability best practices in mobile applications.
Hands on with unit testing frameworks.
Good knowledge of iOS application release process.
