Cority is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to provide technical guidance for two existing teams. We are looking for a passionate team player who is committed to the success of the collective group. The successful candidate will be able to leverage their excellent technical capabilities and drive, while delivering immediate value and influencing our long-term roadmap. We take the success of our customers seriously and our teams are a critical part of this success.
Reporting to a Software Engineering Manager, the Principal Software Engineer is primarily responsible for designing, enhancing, and operationalizing Cority software, as well as working closely with Product Management to develop software to meet client needs.
Major duties and responsibilities include:
- Drives technical and architectural decisions to meet product requirements while also anticipating and designing for future needs
- Designs and leads engineers in creating new and enhancing existing software for Cority’s platform applications
- Collaborates directly with Product Management to ensure that requirements and specifications are understood
- Develops high-quality software and is an advocate of automation frameworks for testing, integration, and deployment
- Reviews completed software designs or prototypes with team and leads code reviews
- Tracks sprint work and provides proper transparency/visibility to their team
- Troubleshoots/investigates complex customer issues and triages to appropriate team members
- Owns multiple functional areas and works well in an agile environment
- Engages and works effectively in a remote environment that includes established contractors in East Europe
- Learns and works across multiple Cority platform engines by leveraging both new and existing technologies
- Leads activities to improve operational efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- 10+ years of application development at a SaaS or web application company
- University degree in computer/software related field
- 8+ years of experience with .NET Core, .Net Framework or equivalent
- 6+ years of experience with Angular/React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
- 2+ years of experience with CI and CD
- 2+ years of experience with AWS or Azure
- 2+ years of experience with Microservices
- Experience with SAML
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Multi-tenancy
- Experience with Message Queues
- Experience with IaC with Pulumi.
- Previous experience in the field of environmental management software is an asset.
