Job Description:
Strategic Advisors Technology (SAT) is looking for Principal Software Engineer that specializes in database technologies. We are looking for individuals who continually strive to advance engineering excellence and technology innovation and have the ability to lead other members on the team.
This is a hybrid role with 5 days onsite every other week and available only in Boston, MA, Merrimack, NH, or Smithfield, RI.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Minimum 10+ years demonstrated professional experience.
- Expertise writing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code, performing data analysis, data modelling, designing and implementation of data APIs and performance tuning.
- Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
- Experience writing and maintaining batch jobs with technologies like ETL/Informatica and Autosys
- Experience following ATDD (acceptance test driven development) and writing automated tests for database code.
- Experience with cloud technologies: Snowflake, S3
- Solid grasp on how mid-tier technologies like Java, messaging technologies, web container interact with data.
- Strive towards writing clean, testable, readable, easily maintainable, and performant code.
- Experience with client side tech stack: HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and Angular is a bonus.
- Comfortable working in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
- Ability to translate storyboards and use cases into applications that give Fidelity a strategic edge with critical thinking and strong problem solving abilities.
- Understanding of CI / CD processes & tools and are enthusiastic about delivering high quality software.
- Providing leadership guidance, mentorship to empower team members to their optimum performance levels and career potential.
The Team
Strategic Advisors Technology (SAT) is seeking an initiative-taking Software Engineer to join our Managed Accounts (MA) Team. This role will focus on developing new functionalities and supporting existing applications, partnering very closely with Strategic Advisor’s Investment teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions.
