The Impact You Will Have in This Role

The IT FinSight Delivery organization supports the development and testing needs of multiple DTCC core business lines. As an Associate Director / Principal Scrum Master, you will play a critical role in driving delivery predictability, execution discipline, and continuous improvement across complex technology initiatives.

This role goes beyond traditional Scrum Master responsibilities. You will act as a senior delivery leader, blending Agile facilitation with hands-on project management, stakeholder partnership, and execution ownership to ensure teams deliver high-quality solutions in a regulated, fast-paced environment.

You will guide and influence cross-functional teams, promote Agile best practices, and partner closely with technology and business leaders to ensure alignment, transparency, and on-time delivery.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

Agile & Scrum Leadership

  • Serve as a senior Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, guiding consistent adoption and continuous improvement of Agile and Scrum practices
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, collaboration, and delivery discipline
  • Foster a high-performing, accountable team culture focused on efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement

Delivery & Project Management Ownership

  • Own end-to-end delivery execution, including project planning, timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate project plans, delivery roadmaps, and status updates
  • Manage delivery risks, issues, and cross-team dependencies; proactively drive mitigation strategies
  • Support resource planning, staffing coordination, and budget-aware execution in alignment with leadership expectations

Stakeholder & Leadership Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Engineering, and Testing teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery
  • Serve as a trusted delivery partner to technology and business stakeholders, providing transparency and clear communication
  • Drive accountability while maintaining strong relationships across multiple teams and leaders

Tools, Metrics & Governance

  • Create and maintain Jira projects; ensure accurate tracking and reporting of team commitments and delivery metrics
  • Use Jira and Confluence to manage workflow, documentation, and delivery transparency
  • Identify and help drive standards, best practices, and process improvements across teams
  • Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations, data security standards, and internal governance processes

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Coach and mentor junior Scrum Masters or delivery leads on Agile and delivery best practices
  • Contribute to the evolution of Agile delivery standards across the broader organization

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of related experience in Agile delivery, Scrum Mastery, or technology project management
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent practical experience
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification required

Talent Needed for Success

  • Strong working knowledge of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe
  • Proven experience blending Scrum Master responsibilities with project/delivery management
  • Background working in software application development, digital transformation, and/or cloud migration initiatives within Financial Services or Fintech domains
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, HP PPM, and MS Office tools
  • Familiarity with financial systems, risk management, and regulated environments
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Technical or business background that enables effective partnership with engineering and business teams

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC’s business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership for leveraging new technology.
