About the RoleThe Principal SAP PP Specialist will lead production planning process design and optimization in SAP S/4HANA, including demand management, MRP, capacity planning, and production order management. This role requires expertise in S/4HANA planning features, planning strategies, lot sizing, and BOM/routing configuration. The consultant will analyze planning run results, resolve material shortages, and align production schedules with business demands. Strong collaboration with supply chain and procurement teams is essential to ensure optimal material availability and production efficiency. Familiarity with SAP PMMO is a huge advantage.
The role includes production execution expertise with focus on manufacturing execution system (MES) integration and interface management between SAP and shop floor systems. Strong understanding of production confirmations, backflushing, goods movements, and transaction orchestration between SAP PP and MES is required. Resource will design and support real-time data interfaces ensuring seamless bidirectional communication for production orders, operations, material consumption, and quality data. Experience troubleshooting interface failures, data inconsistencies, and production variances between SAP and MES is critical.About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +10 yrs experience).

  • Typically 12+ years of related experience.

  • Certification: varies by business system.

  • Extensive understanding of IT systems, software configuration, CI/CD, engineering, and/or business processes.

  • Expertise in software environments and upgrades.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and process improvement.

  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.

  • Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native application development.

  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools and techniques, including machine learning and AI.

  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and API management.

  • Advanced understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

  • Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

  • Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and initiatives.

  • Experience in leading and mentoring other analysts.



Compensation:

Pay Range:

$135,403.00 - $186,178.75

Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
