Job Title – Principal - QA Engineering
The Purpose of This Role
The Principal QA Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This senior-level position requires a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader who can drive the QA vision, lead a talented team of QA engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver superior products. The Principal QA Engineer is responsible for setting quality standards, defining testing methodologies, and ensuring that all software releases meet rigorous quality benchmarks.

Quality Assurance Processes:

Define, implement, and refine QA processes and methodologies to ensure thorough testing of software applications.

Oversee the execution of various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.

Automation and Continuous Integration:

Lead the development and maintenance of automated test frameworks and scripts.

Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to facilitate rapid and reliable software releases.

Evaluate and implement new automation tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, design tests, and ensure comprehensive coverage.

Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Communicate test results, defects, and risks effectively, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.

Quality Metrics and Reporting:

Define key quality metrics and develop dashboards to monitor and report on the quality of software releases.

Analyze test data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.

Present quality reports to senior management, highlighting risks and recommending corrective actions.

Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:

Investigate and resolve complex quality issues, working closely with development teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.

Lead post-release reviews and root cause analysis for any production issues, driving improvements to prevent recurrence.

The Expertise We’re Looking For
Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
-
10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a proven track record of leading QA teams and projects.

Extensive experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
Location: Bangalore – EGL, IN-KA-Bangalore
Shift Timings: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST
