Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Proposal Analyst / Sr Principal Proposal Analyst. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) Ground Base Strategic Deterrent program.

What You’ll Get To Do:
Develops, plans and schedules proposals. Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications. Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments. Researches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts. Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings. Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives. Participates as a member of the contract negotiating team.
The Proposal Analyst will develop Price Cost Analysis Reports (PCAR) , supports audits and reporting activities as needed and assigned. This position will report to the SDS Manager of Supply Chain Operations for the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division in Northrop Grumman's Space Sector. The selected candidate will perform cost estimating/pricing related duties and analysis in accordance with request for Price / Cost Analysis Reports in compliance with regulatory requirements. They will coordinate with functional departments to facilitate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements and research and analyze historical data and develop cost models to support proposal efforts. Additionally, the selected candidate will coordinate activities and participates in fact-finding meetings and in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and supplier representatives.
Duties will include:
Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in company policies, and Government regulations.
Coordinates with contributors from cross-functional organizations to ensure quality proposals are submitted within customer deadlines.
Works closely with Program Management and Supply Chain Management to ensure supplier quotes comply with requirements.
Researches and critically analyzes large volumes of data using spreadsheet and data mining skills to isolate and prioritize key data.
Summarizes and presents detailed information in internal management reviews and customer fact-finding meetings.
Highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivated with demonstrated abilities to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines.
Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; ability to present concepts and recommendations to all levels within the organization.
Demonstrated ability to think analytically, solve problems and convert complex data to actionable information.
Detail oriented, but able to understand the big picture.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience in pricing/estimating, finance, contracts, proposals, and/or business management, 3 years with a Masters, 1 year with a PhD with same relevant experience. Or in lieu of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience in pricing/estimating, finance, contracts, proposals, and/or business management
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
Ability to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi-tasking environment
Prior work experience in Aerospace & Defense
Experience with FAR/DFARS
Sr Principal Proposal Analyst
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of pricing/estimating, finance, contracts, proposals, and/or business-related experience, OR a Master's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience; 4 years with a PhD.
